We offer a range of clinics and services including those below.
Our practice provides the following services:
Chronic disease clinics for long term conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease and hypertension (high blood pressure) are held by the practice nurse and healthcare assistant.
You will be invited every year to attend the surgery for review, with a health care assistant following this a pharmacist will review your medication. In order for patients to recall when they are due reviews are in line with birthday months.
During the annual review appointment, the health care Assistant; check your weight, blood pressure and urine. She will also check any regular medication that you might be taking. They will advise you of any additional appointments which may be required.
for your review please bring with you all your medication, if you have COPD and Asthma Please bring ay inhalers you are currently using to the review appointment.
If you are travelling abroad, please inform the practice 6-8 weeks before travel in order to ensure that the practice is able to accommodate an appointment for travel vaccinations if required. should the practice be provided later then this time we will provide information of local services offering this service, which may come at a cost to the patient.
a travel form can be collected at reception, patients requiring an appointment will be offered an appointment with a practice nurse. Charges apply for some travel vaccinations and certain private prescription malaria medications, as some are not available on the NHS.

Cervical screening (a smear test) is a test to check the health of the cervix and help prevent cervical cancer. It’s offered to women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64.. You’ll get a letter in the post inviting you to make an appointment. You can book an appointment as soon as you get a letter. If you missed your last cervical screening, you do not need to wait for a letter to book an appointment. we offer a wide range of appointments with our practice nurses.
Childhood immunisation clinics are held at the Surgery. However, if these days are not suitable for you please speak to a member of our team who can re-arrange this appointment.
The immunisation clinics are run by a practice nurse
Your child should automatically receive an invitation from children immunisation team to attend for vaccination when they are due. A member of our office team will also call you the day before as a reminder.
If you are concerned your child may be outstanding vaccinations, please contact reception to discuss this with one of the practice nurses.

The practice provides 6-8 week baby checks these are postnatal checks. This check is for both the mother and baby and any concerns should be raised within this appointment. The appointment is in a special clinic and would be would a doctor.
Coil and implants can be fitted in the surgery by one of the doctors. Please book a routine appointment with a doctor to discuss your contraceptive choices. If you decide you would like to have either a coil or implant fitted the doctor will add your name to a list to be booked into the next available coil clinic at the surgery.
The doctor will explain the procedure to you and ask you to sign a consent form. You will also be given information of what you must do prior to the coil/ implant fitting appointment
You will be sent a letter from the surgery advising you of the date and time of your coil or implant fitting. Please book in at reception when you arrive for your appointment.
At your coil or implant fitting appointment the doctor will explain exactly what procedure is being done, and check with you that is safe for you to have the coil or implant fitted that day.
You will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the procedure.
Steroid Injections are undertaken in a Joint Injection clinic by one of the doctors
Please book a routine appointment with a doctor to discuss this. The doctor will advise you if the procedure can be undertaken at the surgery, and add your name to a list to be booked into the next available minor operation clinic.
You will be sent a letter from the surgery advising you of the date and time of your surgery. Please book in at reception when you arrive for your appointment.
Before you have your surgery the doctor will explain exactly what procedure is being done and why.
You will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the procedure. You will then be asked to sign a consent form.
The practice operates a Walk in Blood service Monday – Friday 8-1o.00am. All patients attending this surgery should have had their bloods requested by a member of the clinical team or hospital.
The practice completed ward rounds where the practice visits there allocated care homes and provides home visits to the patients who require the visit. This is completed on rotation between a paramedic and doctor.

It also aims to support individuals to take greater control of their own health. our social prescriber can put you in touch with local groups and community sector organisation. These clinics happen on a Monday and you can self refer by speaking to reception.
